Hijab Row: Muskan Khan’s Father Slams Al-Qaeda Chief

Muskan’s father said that he & his family were living peacefully in India and refused to even acknowledge Al-Qaeda Chief’s support, saying “I don’t even know him.”

Al-Qaeda Chief, Ayman Al Zawahiri, on Tuesday, released a video in which he showered praise on Muskan Khan, the girl student who came to national limelight after raising slogans of Allah-hu-Akbar, in response to Jai Shri Ram slogans & heckling by a group of men inside the college in February.

Muskan’s father said that he was born in Mandya and such things shouldn’t have happened in the state, still he & his family don’t need any ‘support or sympathy’ from outsiders and more so belonging to a terror outfit.

“We don’t know anything about it (video), we don’t know who he is. I only came to know about it via TV,” Muskan’s father Mohammad Hussain Khan told reporters.

Speaking of Zawahiri’s applause of her daughter, he said, “We are living peacefully in our country, we don’t want him to talk about us, as he is not related to us… it is wrong, it is an attempt to create division among us.”

While praising Muskan for standing her ground, Zawahiri also sought to provoke Muslims by asking them to show solidarity with her. In the video, the dreaded terrorist also read a poem for her, which he said that he wrote for “Mujahid sister” and for “brave feat”.

“May Allah reward her for exposing the reality of Hindu India and the deception of its pagan democracy,” the Al-Qaeda chief said in the video.

Taking strong objection to Al Qaeda chief’s praise, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that their stand is justified with this video.

“We have been talking for a long time about unseen hands behind the Hijab controversy. Now, Al Qaeda releasing video on the issue is proof of the unseen hand,” he said.
