PM Modi: Parliament should Debate issues of National Importance

Manipur earned peace

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Parliament should debate issues of national importance. The Prime Minister told reporters ahead of Parliament’s first day of business that the winter session should be judged on how much work is accomplished rather than how many days are wasted.

The Prime Minister stated that the government is willing to discuss all national issues openly, but that the dignity of Parliament, the Speaker, and the Chair should be preserved.

“This is an important Parliamentary session. The country’s citizens want a productive session. They are carrying out their responsibilities in order to ensure a brighter future. The meeting should be productive. The standard should be positive. He stated, “There should be debate as well as peace.”

The Prime Minister also urged everyone to be cautious because a new coronavirus variant has emerged. The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has also been extended until March 2022, according to him.

The government of India is expected to move the three ‘Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021’ in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, the first day of the winter session of Parliament, after it is passed by the Lok Sabha.

On Friday, the three-part ‘Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021’ was distributed to Rajya Sabha members. On the day of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Modi announced the repeal of the three Central farm laws in a speech to the nation.
