Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact virtually with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar recipients on Monday (PMRBP). The event will begin at 11.30 a.m., according to an official statement.
Smriti Irani, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, and Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai, the Minister of State for Women and Child Development, will be in attendance.
“Using Blockchain Technology, PMRBP awardees will receive digital certificates for the years 2022 and 2021. For the first time, this technology is being used to issue certificates to awardees,” according to the official statement.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is awarded to children aged five to fifteen who have demonstrated exceptional abilities and achievements in the fields of innovation, sports, arts and culture, social service, academic achievement, and bravery.
A cash prize of $1,000,000, a medal, and a certificate are presented to such children.
President Ram Nath Kovind will present the award at a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The award ceremony could not be held due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, so Prime Minister Modi will interact with the winners virtually, according to the statement.
On January 26, the awardees will also march in the Republic Day parade (Wednesday).
Prime Minister Modi’s virtual interaction with PMRBP awardees took place on January 25 last year.
“Your works, even at such a young age, are very surprising,” PM Modi said during the meeting. Someone is now promoting the country in the field of sports, or someone is conducting research and development. When someone from your family becomes a player, scientist, political leader, or CEO in the future, the practise of enhancing India’s pride will be seen.”
He also made three resolutions for his young friends, all of which focused on consistency, country, and humility.
