PM Narendra Modi on Monday declared that reforms are needed for growth, and said some laws of the past century have become a ‘Load’ in the current times. The government of India believes in comprehensive integrated reforms, he points up after inaugurating the building of the Agra Metro project via virtual conferencing. His observation came in the backdrop of ongoing protests by farmers against three new farm laws.
PM said “Our government is doing holistic reforms. Earlier reforms used to happen in a piecemeal manner,”
He also added that his government plans to solve hound problems faced by people, make life easy, increase investment, and ensure maximum use of modern technology.
The project, which is arranged to be finished in 5 years, will profit the 26 lakh population of the city of Agra. It will also serve more than 60 lakh tourists who visit Agra every year.
The Agra project will bring major tourist attractions like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Sikandra with railway stations and bus stands, which contains 2 corridors with a total length of 29.4 km.
