Punjabi schools returned on Monday for all grades, with physical education lessons restarting after a few months’ hiatus for pre-primary students. The attendance was reported to be higher in rural regions, whereas it was lower in many private schools.
The state administration said on Saturday that schools would return for full sessions on August 2 as part of a relaxation of Covid restrictions in the light of declining instances.
