Windshield crack: Air India Express flight makes emergency landing in Kerala


According to an airport official, an Air India Express flight from here to Saudi Arabia had to make an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram international airport on Saturday (July 31, 2021) after a break in the plane’s glass was discovered.

The pilots detected a break in the airplane’s windshield after taking off from here at approximately 7.52 a.m., less than an hour into the trip, forcing them to return to Thiruvananthapuram for an emergency landing at around 8.50 a.m., according to the official.

Due to COVID-19 limitations on foreign travel to specific places, the plane had no passengers and was only carrying cargo and an eight-person crew.
