Former Sri Lanka cricketer Aravinda de Silva has slammed Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, and Danushka Gunathilaka, implying that they should face severe disciplinary action for breaking the bio-security procedure in England.
During Sri Lanka’s recent tour of England, all three Lankan players were found guilty of violating the Covid regulations. As a result, the three was suspended in the middle of their mission and returned home. According to dailynews.lk, De Silva stated on a television talk programme that the players should have realised the responsibility of representing their nation and stayed within the bio-bubb.
“They should have realised their misbehaviour and especially what was the fault they have done off the field. They should realise their responsibility and represent the country. When a bio-bubble is created they have to live according to the rules and regulations,” De Silva was quoted as saying.
