Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma took their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday. They requested the people of the India to take their dose of vaccination.
Virat Kohli shared a picture of him getting his jab as he requested the general public to get inoculated ‘as soon as they can’.
Likewise, Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma also too took to social media account stating his his first shot of the vaccine.
“Thankful for this and grateful for all the essential workers. Happy to see the smooth running of the facility & management. Let’s all get vaccinated at the earliest,” Sharma tweeted.
Kohli praised the frontline workers and said, “I have nothing but gratitude for all the healthcare & frontline workers, I am in awe of their spirit and dedication. I also want to thank all the people who came forward in such difficult times & helped each other. India is grateful to have heroes like you.”
Cricketers such as Shikar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav and Ajinkya Rahane also took their first dose of the vaccine.
