A new format will be introduced for the Champions League from 2024 by t he Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) due to increase of clubs have from 32 to 36.

12 major clubs were planning to start a rival Super League after which the announcement of the new format was made.

After consultating at an executive committee meeting in Switzerland the new format got approved by the UEFA.

In place of four-team groups, all 36 blubs will be brought together according to the format.
