Assam son Riyan Parag played a brilliant match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, leading his team Rajasthan Royals to victory in IPL 2020.
The Royals seemed to be in deep trouble with Sanju Samson’s wicket as they were on 78/5 of 12 overs while chasing 159 against David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, young Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia turned the game over and won by 5 wickets with one ball remaining.
Riyan Parag hit a huge six in the 2nd last ball to win it for the Royals and celebrated his win with some excellent Bihu steps in true Assamese style that surprised the commentators. In his interview after the match, Riyan said, “Our Main motto was to take it deep. We decided that Rahul bhaiya would take on Rashid.”
The 85 run partnership is the second-highest unbeaten sixth-wicket stand in the IPL.
