Assam CM urges ULFA-I to rejoin mainstream and participate in negotiation process

Assam’s chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has urged the ULFA-I to join the negotiation process and return to the mainstream.

On Sunday, the Assam chief minister made this request while addressing at the Veterinary Playground in Guwahati during the Independence Day celebration.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “I urge to ULFA-Paresh I’s Baruah and militant organisations in Assam to come to the mainstream, join our dialogue process, and participate constructively.”

“We are grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for bringing peace to the region,” he said.
