In upper Assam’s Dibrugarh, a 38-year-old man was detained for allegedly groping a woman. Ritu Nondeswar Sensua, a young man, was arrested by Dibrugarh police on Wednesday evening after a video of the event surfaced on social media and quickly went viral.
He was apprehended outside a bus terminal in Sivasagar town as he was preparing to board a night superbus to Guwahati from Sivasagar.
“We managed to arrest accused Ritu Nondeswar Sensua alias Ritu Raj Gogoi from ASTC bus terminus in Sivasagar. From preliminary investigation, we got to know that he was involved in similar kinds of incidents earlier in Mumbai and Guwahati as well,” said a police official.
