Former APDCL employee found dead in Jorhat

On Saturday morning, a former employee of the Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APDCL) was discovered dead in Jorhat under mysterious circumstances.

The body was discovered adjacent to the roadside near the Meleng Pujarigaon, according to a police official.

Moreover, the suspect was identified as Bhuban Bora, a former APDCL employee and a resident of  Meleng Pujarigaon in Jorhat. 

Meanwhile, Bora left his home around 4 pm and his body was recovered on Saturday morning.

Bora went to the market on Friday evening, according to his family, but did not return, and his phone was also unavailable.

However, the family was in a panic and searched for him all over the area and finally found him dead.

Immediately, the police were informed about the incident as there were injuries on the dead body.

The incident is being investigated as a possible murder case by the family.

The police have sent the deceased body to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

An investigation has also been launched in this regard.

Previously, on March 11, the headmaster of 918 No Khumguri LP School, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kokrajhar police station, was allegedly murdered by unknown miscreants under mysterious circumstances on Thursday evening.
