Assam Jatiya Parishad Releases Party Flag

Assam’s newly-launched political party known as the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has released its party flag on Wednesday. The party flag and draft constitution were released at a programme in Guwahati. Several leaders of the party including its convenors were present at the event.

The flag which is of blue in colour has a ring in the left side of the flag which has a red circle in it. The red circle will have the symbol of the party to be provided by the Election Commission. The name of the party is written on the right side in both English and Assamese and below the name there is a wave of a River.

The regional party was formed in September following the recommendations of the 16-member advisory panel formed by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP). The party said that its first political conference will be held in December and that the committees will be formed in 17 districts.
