A minor girl in Guwahati was gang rapped, filmed, and blackmailed in Garigaon twice in a sensational and heart-wrenching incident, prompting police to launch a massive manhunt for five accused youths who are currently on the run.
The five teenagers sexually assaulted the girl, a 16-year-old schoolgirl, after one of them raped her first and then made a video of the incident, which he later used to blackmail her.
Moreover, Biki Ali, Faizul Ali, Pinku Ali, Poona Ali, and Raja Ali are the names of the five accused, who are all in their early twenties.
However, at the All Women Police Station in Guwahati’s Panbazar, a case has been filed against all five.
Following a medical examination of the minor girl, police will initiate action in the matter.
According to reports, Biki Ali, a known former friend of the victim, invited her to his home on February 16 and raped her while one of his friends filmed the entire incident.
Later, Biki then began blackmailing the minor victim, taking her to a hotel on February 19 where he and his four friends gang-raped her once more.
Only after the video went viral did the victim’s family learn of the crime on Thursday, following the filing of a case at PanBazar Women’s Police Station.
It may be mentioned that such crimes against women and sexual harassment cases have been rapidly increasing in Guwahati and in other parts of the state.
