Assam: Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Reopens for Public

Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary that was closed for around six months for COVID-19 reopens for the public from Tuesday. The Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra in Morigaon district in Assam and is a wetland habitat for the One-horn Indian rhinoceros.

Assam State Forest and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya along with Minister Pijush Hazarika and Assam Tourism Development Corporation, Chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah were present in the opening ceremony of the sanctuary.
