The Assam tableau for the Republic Day celebration will showcase the famous Kamakhya Temple and the legendary Ahom general Lachit Barphukan, as per reports. 

The tableau will be accompanied by Bihu artists from across the State showcasing the rich heritage of Assam. The tableau will take part in the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2023 at New Delhi.

A total of 23 tableaux, including 17 from states and UTs, and six from ministries and departments will roll down the Kartavya Path during the Republic Day parade, the Ministry of Defence informed on Sunday.
