Nicaragua approves Cuban-made Covid Vaccine, Cuban firm says

Nicaragua has approved two Cuban-made coronavirus vaccinations for use in the Central American country, according to BioCubaFarma, the Cuban state-run pharmaceutical firm.

Three vaccines against COVID-19 have been produced by Cuban scientists, all of which are awaiting formal approval from the World Health Organization.

BioCubaFarma announced on Twitter that Nicaragua’s Health Ministry’s Health Regulation Authority has approved the Abdala and Soberana vaccines for emergency use.

A request for response from Nicaragua’s administration was not immediately returned.
