Arunachal Pradesh Health Minister Alo Libang on Monday visited the Community Health Center (CHC) Bhalukpong & District Hospital Bomdila to take stock of the COVID-19 situation and its health facilities.

The Health minister inspected the community health centre at Bhalukpong and interacted with the staff and health officials on various requirements. He was accompanied by the local MLA Kumsi Sidisow during the interaction. Later that day, Libang also assessed the ongoing construction of the new building at the District Hospital in Bomdila.

“Since the outbreak of the pandemic, it was my thought to visit all the district hospitals to see the ground reality of COVID-19 situation and to discuss the grievances of the health warriors” said the minister while interacting with the reporters. He added that he had already covered most of the eastern Arunachal and was now ready to assess the health sector in the western region of Arunachal Pradesh. Libang further stressed on the need to solve some of the common issues like shortages of manpower in hospitals along with its infrastructure.
