Arunachal: BJP, ZPM, Gram Panchayat members Protest in Tawang

Arunachal Pradesh’s Bharatiya Janata Party members in Tawang on Saturday staged a vehement protest against China’s ‘expansionist’ move into the Indian territory. The protest was staged after reports emerged on Monday that China had constructed a new village in Arunachal Pradesh inside the Indian Territory consisting of about 101 houses.

“Lately, we all have come across the report of China constructing a new village in Arunachal’s Upper Subansiri District. China since time immemorial had its eyes on Arunachal, even though it had always been an integral part of Indian Territory. The state had always shared its border with Tibet but never China. Therefore China claiming Arunachal as its part and building infrastructure is utterly outrageous,” said Sange Chodup, President of BJP in Tawang District.

Meanwhile, people from different walks of life Participated in the Protests along with BJP, ZPM, Gram Panchayat Karyakartas and Student leaders holding placards and raising anti-China slogans. The protesters also raised slogans such as ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘We Are Indians’, and ‘China Go Back’.
