A blood donation camp was organized by the Anggong Society Youth Wing (ASYW) at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH), Pasighat on Monday. A total of 29 units of blood were donated to the blood bank.

Stating that the blood collected during such camp cannot be stored for more than 30 days, Anggong society secretary-general Kingman Komut advocated for a monthly blood donation camp rather than random blood donations by various groups.

Speaking on the occasion, AYANG founder chairperson Aini Taki Taloh of Ayang and Dr Dilem Modi, Blood Bank Officer (BBO) proposed the idea of a calendar-based monthly blood donation programme.

Dr Talung Tali, Jt Director Health Services, BPGH, appreciated the humanitarian effort of the Anggong youths.

ASYW president Habu Tali and general secretary Hujing Komut thanked all the donors and individuals who supported the blood donation camp.
