Arunachal: BRO DG Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry calls on Governor BD Mishra

BRO

The BRO’s Director General (DG) Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra at the Raj Bhavan on Friday, and discussed various road projects in the state undertaken by the BRO.

The governor emphasised on quality construction and timely completion of the road projects.

Stating that road communication in Arunachal is vital for the development of the state and for the security of the nation, he suggested to the BRO DG to put extra effort into project implementation as the working period in the state due to the extended monsoons is comparatively very less.

The governor commended the BRO for its contributions towards the state’s infrastructural development and economic growth of the people, particularly those in the border areas.

“The organisation has been providing for the strategic needs of the state and nation by its committed approach and cost-effective and sustainable roads construction,” he said.

The DG assured the governor of the best contribution of his organisation for the rapid progress and prosperity of Arunachal.

The Border Roads Organisation is a road construction executive force in India that provides support to and is a part of the Indian Armed Forces. BRO develops and maintains road networks in India’s border areas and friendly neighboring countries
