Arunachal : CM Khandu submits memorandum to PM Modi

A detailed memorandum on the developmental necessities and issues of public interest vis-à-vis Arunachal was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on January 18th.

The development support mentioned of connectivity (roads, air, power transmission and digital), comprehensive border area development, and one-time grant for replacement of NEFA period government infrastructures.

Sustainable hydropower, tourism and agriculture sectors for self-reliance in Arunachal found more importance in the discussion.

Khandu stated, “With the proactive support from government of India, Arunachal Pradesh aspires to be an important contributor to the 5 trillion-dollar economy”.

Arunachal wants grow from a grant-based economy to a self-reliant economy with a small population and bigger resource base so that it can contribute to the national economy, emphasized CM.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that he will address all the issues present in the memorandum in a time-bound manner.
