Arunachal CM Pema Khandu to Attend Nyokum-Yullo Festival

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu to attend the Nyokum Yullo festival celebration at Nyapin in Kurung Kumey district this year and may visit several other places in the district in his two days programme next month.

Nyapin Nyokum Yullo festival celebration committee Chairman Tadar Mangku informed that the festival celebration committee team along with Nyapin ZPM Tadar Tadey, senior officer Gyamar Tachung and others accompanied with Home Minister Bamang Felix met CM Khandu at his residence on Tuesday evening and invited him to be a part of the celebration to which he accepted.

“We have informed him of several other issues of the area and the chief minister agreed to interact with the officers of the area and visit other parts of the district and see the condition of the TAH and other under construction and proposed road construction in the district,” Mangku said.

Keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic, all precautions would be taken to celebrate the Nyokum festival, Mangku added.

According to sources, a few top leaders of the state are likely to join CM Khandu at the Nyokum festival on February 25 and 26 next.
