Arunachal: CS Stresses to Complete Sanctioning of Atma Nirbhar Schemes

Arunachal Pradesh’s State Chief Secretary (CS) Naresh Kumar on Wednesday stressed on the need for completing the procedure of sanctioning schemes under the ambitious Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) and Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY) before March 15.

CS Kumar convened a meeting with all the DCs, Regional Managers of State Bank of India, MDs of Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank and APEX Banks and others to take stock of progress of both the schemes said, it is time that the fund released may be used in the fields by the beneficiaries on time-bound manner.

“To achieve the target, there should be proper coordination between the DCs and the banks,” he said.

Dismayed over poor performance by some districts, he asked the DCs to reconcile the gaps and disparities in terms of figures and work accordingly.

Stating that maximum beneficiaries should be covered under the two schemes, Kumar directed the DCs to guide the applicants in submitting loan applications complete in all respect by deputing District Agriculture Officer and District Horticulture Officer.

“In case of rejection of any application by the banks due to insufficient documents, such applicants also may be guided by the district administration for re-submission with full documents before the deadline which is on March 15 next,” he added.

The chief secretary requested the financial institutions including the SBI to send additional manpower in some districts with low manpower in their branches to expedite the loan processing from their end.

He further requested the financial institutions to take up the applicants under the ANKY and ANBY on priority.

Kumar added that the loan sanction and disbursement should be completed within the deadline.

The chief secretary further informed that the entire loan process would be made online for the ANKY and the ANBY from next financial year onwards.

The meeting was also attended by Agriculture Production Commissioner Rajeev Verma, Agriculture & Horticulture Secretary Bidol Tayeng besides, Agriculture and Horticulture directors.
