The Healthworkers Team from Boleng trekked for about six hours through forest and hilly areas to reach the remotest villages in Siang district, Lissing and Messing and conducted a vaccination drive to combat coronavirus on Monday.

The health team vaccinated more than 26 beneficiaries from both the villages.

District Reproductive and Child Health Officer (DRCHO) of Siang district, Dr Kaling Tamuk said that out of the 26 beneficiaries, one male was in the 18-44 years age category while 25 others were above 45.

All of them have received their first dose and the health team will revisit the two villages for the second dose as well, he said.
