Arunachal: ITW Resume Duties Following Assurance from Govt to Fulfill Demands

The Itanagar Traffic Wardens (ITWs) resume their duties on Monday after calling off their indefinite strike after they were given assurance by the State Government to meet their demands. 

Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar during a high-level meeting acknowledged the ITW’s role in controlling traffic congestion within Itanagar Capital Complex regions and assured to fulfil the demands of the ITWs after proper assessment.

The director general of police (DGP), Capital DC and SP, and representatives from ITW were present in the meeting.

“We have been doing our duties sincerely for the last 11 years, now all we want is justice,” said ITW representative. Meanwhile, the traffic wardens sought assurance in written form within 5 – 6 days.
