Arunachal to launch dedicated TV channels for e-Learning

In line with the Pradhan Mantri e-VIDYA initiative, Arunachal Pradesh is set to introduce five dedicated TV channels, namely AR53, AR54, AR55, AR56, and AR57, to facilitate home-based e-learning for students. Education Minister Taba Tedir revealed this development during a meeting with senior officers of the department at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on Tuesday.

These TV channels will broadcast educational content in the local languages of the state, aiming to provide accessible and comprehensive e-learning opportunities to students. The move comes as part of the state’s commitment to improving the quality of education in government schools, with a series of initiatives launched for the academic session 2023–24.

Education Minister Tedir stressed the importance of effective implementation of these initiatives to achieve the desired educational outcomes on the ground. The state’s efforts to enhance the accessibility and quality of education reflect a significant step towards empowering students and nurturing their academic growth.

Arunachal Pradesh’s proactive approach to leveraging technology for education is expected to have a positive impact on students’ learning experiences and academic achievements. As these initiatives take shape, they are likely to contribute to the overall growth and development of the state’s educational landscape.
