The State Election Commission (SEC) is geared up to conduct the Panchayat and Municipal election in Arunachal Pradesh simultaneously in a single phase on December 22.

Briefing about the preparations for the conduct of local body polls, SEC Deputy Secretary Habung Lampung on Thursday informed that EVMs randomisation and printing of ballot papers have already been completed, adding that ballot papers have been collected by respective District Election Officers (DEOs) through the concerned officers.

EVM is will be used for election to the two civic body polls that is Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) and Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) and ballot papers for the Panchayat Polls. “More than 10,000 polling personnel be deployed for conduction of free and fair elections,” said Lampung.
