Har Ghar Tiranga

The 30th Battalion Sashastra Seem Bal (SSB) organised a series of cultural programmes at Dirang in West Kameng district on Friday, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga (bring tricolours to home)’ campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering lauded SSB for contributing immensely to the development of Dirang circle.

SSB Deputy Commandant Upendra Kumar urged all to hoist the national flag in their homes as a tribute to our freedom fighters.

Cultural programmes were performed by Sandiksha members and school children.

ADC J T Obi and PRI members also attended the programme.

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, to be carried out under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the tricolour will be hoisted atop more than 20 crore houses across the country for three days next month – August 13 to 15.

The campaign, which is a part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of independence, is launched to encourage Indians to hoist the national flag in their homes.
