In an initiative to provide a helping hand to people living in far flung areas, Holiday Scout Tour & Travel in partnership with Bablu Virinder Singh Virdi assisted in the installation of a 500 litre capacity Solar Water Heater at Mahabodhi Old Age Home and a 300 litre capacity Solar Water Heater at the local school for orphans.

They had earlier made the commitment in assisting with the installation in February 2020 to help the people of the community in one way or another but weren’t able to deliver it due to the lockdown. Although the initiative was delayed it wasn’t forgotten. The virus didn’t stop them from delivering the support to the people. The team was really glad that they were able to fulfill their promises before the year ended. Along with the Solar Water Heater, they also distributed winter clothes among the residents of the Old Age Home, which were generously gifted by TK Clothings of Bomdila.

The Mahabodhi Residential Home for the Aged, Destitute and Disabled was started with the aim to provide a helping hand to the elderly and physically handicapped people who are either abandoned or have nobody to look after them. The much needed humanitarian support from their end to the people in need really played a very crucial role in developing the community. Their act of generosity will surely inspire others to help people who are less fortunate.
