In a major leap forward, the Blood Bank at Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh is going to have a Blood Component Separation Unit with Aphaeresis facility.

With the completion of the fully operational unit, patients coming to BPGH for blood transfusion will be given only the component of the blood which is needed by the patient. It will be of great benefit for patients in terms of treatment.

The Aphaeresis machine will only take the component of the blood from the donors which are required by the patient, other components of blood will be returned back to the donor at the same time.
