Dambuk MLA Donates land to Farmers

Knowing where our Food comes from has never been so important. With the passing of various Farmers bill in the country to uplift the agricultural sector, Arunachal Pradesh’s Dambuk MLA Smt Gum Tayeng donated around 24 acres of land to the farmers of the Meka Cluster, leading the way towards making the farmers of the state self-reliant as well as contributing in the economic development.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu thanked the MLA in his tweet saying,” Spirit of #TeamArunachal towards #AtmaNirbharBharat. Thank you Hon’ble MLA Dambuk Ms @GumTayeng Ji for donating 10 hectares of land to the farmers of Meka cluster under Dambuk Constituency and leading the way towards making Arunachal self reliant.”

The farmers sowed Potato seeds on the donated land and were very enthusiastic about the task at hand. The event would surely motivate people to invest in community-scale agriculture by supporting local farms and farmers, who are essential workers in our food system.
