In a move to boost Arunachal Pradesh’s health sector, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved the construction of nine state-of-the-art District Hospitals under RIDF with an estimated cost of Rs 195 crore. The upcoming state-of-the-art hospitals will be at Tezu, Roing, Khonsa, Aalo, Ziro, Changlang, Boleng (Siang), Namsai and Basar (Leparada).
Chief Minister Pema Khandu made this announcement on twitter, under the tagline “Transforming Arunachal’s health infrastructure”. He further said that the State Govt is committed to cover the entire on mission mode.

It is to be noted that, not long ago the State Health and Family welfare department successfully installed the Aphaeresis machines at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun and the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH) in Pasighat which paved the way to provide plasma therapy to Covid-19 patients in the State.
