A NSCN-IM cadre has voluntarily surrendered before Changlang District Police at Namtok Police Station in Arunachal Pradesh.

The surrender has come as a positive development in the ongoing counter-insurgency operation in Changlang district.
During interrogation, he informed about being radicalised by the militant group back in 2015 in his native area with a promise to provide job and salary in their underground organisation. He has been an active cadre of the group since then.

After completing all necessary formalities, the former cadre was set free with surrendering certificate issued by deputy commissioner on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, SP Mihin Gambo has made an appeal to the youths who have left their family to join the underground organisations to return to their normal life with dignity and value.
