The Folktales of Arunachal Pradesh’s Nyishi tribe from the book titled “Uiimok” will be introduced in Rajasthan’s Government Schools under “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” campaign.

The book on Nyishi folktales titled “Uiimok” is written by Dr Jamuna Bini, faculty at Hindi Department in Rajiv Gandhi University. She is also a prominent writer from North-East India in the field of Hindi Literature.

Uiimok, is a distinctive addition not only in the context of Arunachal or North-East but aslo in a larger context of Hindi Literature. The illustrated book is a delight for readers learning about the existing folklore. The book is an inspiration to many writers from North-East to take forward the cause of Tribal literature to wider audience.
