Sports Minister Mama Natung Reviews SLSA

Arunachal Pradesh Sports Minister Mama Natung took stock of the proposed National Centre for Excellence in Itanagar’s Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) for boxing, Wushu and Weightlifting on Wednesday. He discussed with the officials various plans to improve the infrastructure facilities and to aid the young sporting talents.

The State Sports minister also interacted with the athletes and offered his greeting on International Judo Day. He further encouraged them to prepare well and to participate in national as well as international competitions.  He said that they could win medals if they worked hard and wished them success in future.

Natung while talking to the press mentioned SAI’s efforts to launch the talents of Arunachal Pradesh to the world stage by improving its sporting facilities. He also said that the state sports authorities have undertaken the task to make Arunachal Pradesh a Sports hub in the coming years and is committed to give a new thrust to the sports sector by recruiting coaches, bringing in sports equipment and developing the infrastructure.
