Chief Minister and Home Minister Respond to Murder of Civilian in Tirap District

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, expressed his concern and commitment to addressing the tragic murder of an innocent civilian in the Borduria police station area of Tirap district. Responding to reporters’ questions during an interaction in Yazali, Chief Minister Khandu stated, “I am in contact with both MLA Wangling Lowangdong and Gabriel D Wangsu with regard to the murder of a civilian in the Borduria Police station area of Tirap district.” He underscored the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that this incident is regrettable and vowed to ensure a thorough investigation to reach a logical conclusion.

Home and Border Affairs Minister, Bamang Felix, also spoke to the media and informed them that the investigation is underway, with further updates to be provided later.

Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh Farmer Development Society has strongly condemned the gruesome murder of its active member, Lt. Lokhi Wangsu, son of Wangjen Wangsu, from Naitong village in the Borduria circle of Tirap district on September 18, 2023, allegedly by unidentified miscreants.

The central body of the farmer’s organization has called upon the concerned authorities to launch an immediate and comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth and identify those responsible for this brutal killing. They urged that the culprits be brought to justice in accordance with the laws of the land, thereby ensuring justice for the victim and his grieving family members.
