Training Program on Bamboo In Itanagar Concludes Today

A month long training program on “Technical up-gradation on Bamboo Treatment, Storing and grading” under the project ‘Promote Bamboo’ MSME clusters for sustainable development concluded on Tuesday. The certificate distribution ceremony was also held on the concluding day at Kakoi under Kimin block in Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh.

The project was initiated by the team of FMC (Foundation for MSME clusters), SIDBI, Aide et Action (Implementing agency) in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Bamboo Research Development Agency (APRBA) and State Forest Research Institute (SFRI).

A total number of 52 participants both men and women took active part in the training program. The training was organised in an effort to promote small entrepreneurs and train them on bamboo based furniture making. The programme also aimed at enhancing the skills of the artisans to become self-sustainable by providing them with technical training so that they could produce quality products.
