ULFA(I) takes responsibility for the attack on Assam Rifles troops

The United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) has claimed responsibility for carrying out the joint attack along with other militant groups on the 19-Assam Rifles troops in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

An Assam Rifles jawan was killed and another sustained injuries when the water tanker they were travelling in after fetching water was ambushed by the militants near Tengmo village.

The militant group, in a statement, claimed that a combined team of the Naga army (NSCN/GPRN), ULFA (I) and RPF (PLA) carried out “joint military offensive against the occupational forces”.
