Comingone Ymbon, Fisheries Minister and NPP leader dropped from cabinet

Comingone Ymbon, Fisheries Minister and NPP leader, has been dropped from the Meghalaya cabinet. An official notification is yet to be released.
Credible sources from the National People’s Party (NPP) confirmed the development and stated that a notification will likely be announced on Thursday.
His replacement is, however, yet to be confirmed though talks have been doing the rounds that NPP legislator from Mawhati, Dasakhiatbha Lamare will replace Ymbon.
Meanwhile, sources from the HSPDP confirmed that party MLA and PHE minister, Samlin Malngiang will be dropped from the cabinet and he will be replaced by Mawkyrwat legislator, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar.
The swearing-in ceremony will likely take place next week.
This development comes following repeated talks and demands for a cabinet reshuffle as the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government completes two and a half years in office.
Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong had on Tuesday refused to comment on the issue of a cabinet reshuffle.
When asked whether the alliance partners — UDP, HSPDP, BJP, and PDF had projected new faces for a cabinet berth, he replied in the negative.
“The respective parties will be in a better position to speak on this issue,” Tynsong stated.
