Following the #GoBlue campaign,Gandhi Mandap is turning BLUE

On the occasion of World Children’s Day, The Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati is all set to go blue on November 20 as part of UNICEF‘s #GoBlue campaign.

Along with Gandhi Mandap, many iconic buildings in India and the world will be lit in blue on November 20.

The campaign is aimed at raising awareness on child rights and the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on the lives of children.

The UNICEF and Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) have joined hands to turn the Gandhi Mandap blue on that day.

Guwahati Development Department (GDD) minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya along with GMDA CEO Umananda Doley will launch the #GoBlue campaign at Gandhi Mandap at 5 pm on November 20.

Children from different districts of the state will participate in the program and present their manifestos on the occasion.

Other places that will go blue on November 20 as part of the #GoBlue campaign are – Rashtrapati Bhavan, Qutub Minar, India Gate, and Gateway of India, among others.
