From tradition to tech: Assam’s new Assembly to be inaugurated on July 30

The much-anticipated inauguration of Assam’s new Legislative Assembly building is just around the corner. Scheduled for July 30, this momentous occasion will be graced by the esteemed presence of Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla. This architectural marvel, designed to be at the forefront of innovation, will revolutionize the state’s legislative process.

Assam’s Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, will be among the esteemed dignitaries attending the inauguration ceremony. The event will also witness the participation of current and former Parliamentarians, members of the Assam Legislative Assembly, and other notable guests, adding grandeur to the occasion.

Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Numal Momin, confirmed the inauguration date and highlighted the extraordinary features of the new building.
