The Union Minister attended the one-year celebration of the signing of the historic Bodo Peace Accord at Green Field in Kokrajhar.
Amit Shah said, “I have come here to iterate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are committed to fulfilling all clauses of the BTR Accord, which will pave the way for peace and development in the region. It marks the beginning of the end of the insurgency in the region”.
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and health, finance, education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma accompanied the Union Home Minsiter.
The BTR Accord was a landmark moment, which has ushered in a new era of peace & rapid development in BTR.
