Assam: App Developer arrested for streaming unauthorized Sports Content

The Hajo Police have arrested an app developer for allegedly hacking into Star India Private Limited and developing two streaming apps using its content.

According to reports, the young man’s name is Aminur Rahman, and he is from Hajo Town in Assam.
He was arrested on the morning of February 11th, following a complaint filed by Star TV.

According to the police, Aminur is an app developer who allegedly hacked and began streaming sports content owned by Star on two apps he developed himself.

Elections in Municipalities Despite multiple warnings from the company about illegal and unauthorised streaming, he ignored the orders and continued with his activities because he was earning “good money” from it.

As a result, a police complaint was filed, and he was eventually arrested on February 11th. Following his arrest, police seized a laptop, three phones, and a device.

The confiscated items are thought to have been used to set up applications for mobile devices. An investigation is underway to determine how he operates.
