Assam : AJP to Contest all 126 Constituencies of Assam

In the upcoming elections the Nationalist forces would contest in all 126 constituencies of Assam, said Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi attending the felicitation and joining programme of AJP organized in Howly, Barpeta district of Assam on January 10.

Gogoi said to the media, “We will field candidates in all 126 Assam seats and 2021 will see nationalist government in the state. Everyone in the state wants nationalist government and it is their inner voice.” He said that AJP has been welcomed almost in every part of the state by the people.

Gogoi stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) might have no chance in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections to be held around April this year.

During the felicitation and joining programme, around hundred leaders from the opposition parties had joined AJP.

Lurinjyoti Gogoi joined AJP in December 2020 who was previously in All Assam Student’s Union (AASU).

All Assam Student Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) launched the new regional party AJP in September 2020.
