Hardcore ULFA(I) cadre, self-styled second lieutenant, Prantik Asom was arrested at Pengeree, Tinsukia district, Assam by troops of Spear Corps of Indian Army and police.
Among item taken from his possession includes one .32 pistol, one magazine and 9 live rounds of ammunition.
According to sources, the arrested cadre was the Chief of the logistics and administration of the ULFA(I) camps in Myanmar.
He was also a close assistant of top-level leader of the ULFA(I), Arunodhoy Asom.
For further investigation the captured ULFA(I) cadre along with the items recovered from him were handed over to Tinsukia Police.
