chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal meet known YouTubers, Dimpu Baruah, Bhukan Pathak, Bikash Chetry among others in a meeting to promote Assam and disscuss tourism.The government aims to promote region’s ethenic substance such as Bihu and the state’s monuments through these popular influencers “The aim is similar to Awesome Assam.

This will be called ‘Discovering Assam’, which will try to portray Assam outside the region to showcase its elements.” said Samar Baruah, one of the influencers .

The YouTube community and audience has grown in Assam in recent years also as of the pandemic , better network connectivity and online marketing services made youtubers like Dimpu Baruah and Voice Assam reaching more than 1 million subscribers within reach.
