Assam: Dhubri Artist uses Syringes and Needles to create Durga Idol

Sanjeev Basak, an artist from Assam’s Dhubri district, has been working tirelessly to complete a Durga idol made out of used syringes and needles, just as he did the previous year.

Basak created the Durga idol out of syringes and needles in order to raise awareness about the importance of the Covid19 vaccine during the pandemic during the Durga Puja festival.

“The entire world has been facing the panic of Covid-19 pandemic since 2019 and was waiting for a proper vaccine,” said Artisan Sanjib Basak, a Dhubri district administration employee.
