To take stock of the upcoming poll preparation for the State Assembly polls 2021, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will visit Assam on Monday (January 18). The visit will conclude on January 20, said the Deputy Secretary.
Chief Election Commissioner of India, Sunil Arora, Election Commissioners of India Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar will arrive in Assam on Monday, informed the deputy secretary to the election department of Assam in a press statement.
Along with them Dharmendra Sharma, the Director General of ECI, Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Deputy Election Commissioner, ECI, Sheyphali B. Sharan, Additional Director General, PIB & Spokesperson, ECI and other Senior Officials of ECI will also accompany.
Meetings will be held between Election Commission with Chief Electoral Officer and Police Nodal Officer, Political parties, election-related regulatory agencies and district election officers.
The ECI team will also have meetings with the superintendents of police and chief secretary, home secretary, director general of police and other senior officials at Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati, the statement said.
A press conference regarding details about poll preparation in Assam will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati by the Election Commission.
